Designed by SHoP Architects & AECOM and managed by Hunt Construction (now AECOM), this 670,000 SF multi-purpose arena features upscale lounges, concessions, state-of-the-art locker rooms, and is the first development in the Atlantic Yards Project. The Barclays Center boasts the first weathering steel facade of its kind on a sports venue. The Arena is host to the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and NHL’s New York Islanders, in addition to the hottest acts in the entertainment industry today. Utilizing SHoP Construction‘s BIM technology, the building’s swooping exterior is wrapped in 12,000 uniquely sized pre-weathered corten steel panels.
